Huawei Honor 7 is definitely one of the most leaked devices this year. The company’s upcoming high-end smartphone will follow Huawei’s P8 line of devices which was introduced earlier this year, and according to the info we have thus far, this will be a well-designed high-end smartphone. We’ve seen quite a few leaks and rumors regarding the Honor 7, and the device was even certified in China quite recently. That being said, Huawei has revealed the release date of this smartphone yesterday, so mark your calendars for June 30 if you’re interested.
Anyhow, we now know when will the device be announced, but that doesn’t mean the leaks will stop. Two new real life images of the Honor 7 popped up on Weibo (Chinese social network), and you can check them out in the gallery down below. These two images don’t reveal all that much, but you can see the camera sensor, the dual-LED flash, and the fingerprint scanner that is located below the camera. The Honor 7 will be made out of metal, and will sport high-end specs. Speaking of the phone’s specifications, let’s see what will it offer once launched.
The Huawei Honor 7 will allegedly ship in two variants, the first variant will come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and the second variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage. The Huawei Honor 7 will feature a 5-inch 1080 (1920 x 1080) display, and a 3,280mAh battery will reportedly also be a part of this package. Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 935 64-bit octa-core processor will power this handset, and a 13-megapixel camera will probably be located on the back of this thing.
What about its software? Well, the phone is expected to ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Huawei’s Emotion UI installed on top of it, but it’s also possible that Huawei si preparing a whole new Android-based OS for this thing. Several rumors surfaced recently saying that the Honor 7 will be the first Huawei-branded smartphone to ship with the company’s new Android-branded OS (similar to Cyanogen OS and Oxygen OS). We still can’t confirm that, and the chances are this thing will ship with Emotion UI, as every other Huawei-branded smartphone, but we’ll see.

I’ve always been interested in technology but when I got my first Android phone years ago I was hooked. Mobile technology has been my first priority ever since. I’m currently using the LG G3 phablet, even though I’m prone to using Nexus devices, but I sold my Nexus 5 smartphone and the Nexus 6 is just too big (and pricey) for me. Other than technology I also enjoy football, movies and TV shows along with socializing with my friends and family.
