OnePlus One was one of the best smartphones in 2014. OnePlus’ handset had a lot to offer, it sported high-end specifications and was really affordable considering its internals. On top of it all, this handset also chips with Cyanogen’s software, which was a huge plus for some people. OnePlus One has been available in the market for over a year now, and it was available in India for a long time as well, but Amazon.in has exclusive rights to sell it in that country, well, not anymore.
A couple of days ago, Flipkart has teased the availability of the OnePlus One handset, and the device is now available for purchase from Flipkart as well. The 64GB Sandstone Black variant of the device is the only one available at the moment, and it costs Rs. 19,998 ($ 315), and this is a special price which is valid until June 24th as part of Big App Shopping Days promotion. After that period is over, this model will set you back Rs. 21,999 ($ 347) should you choose to buy it from Flipkart. The 16GB Silk White variant of the device will also become available in the coming weeks, and it will cost Rs. 18,999 ($ 300).
OnePlus One features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) LTPS display along with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC along with an Adreno 330 GPU. The 13-megapixel camera is available on the back of this thing, while there’s a 5-megapixel shooter located up front. The 3,100mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, and OnePlus One also offers 4G LTE connectivity. Android 4.4.2 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Cyanogen’s software on top of it, though OnePlus’ Oxygen OS is also an option these days. The device measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 162 grams.
There you have it folks, the OnePlus One is no longer exclusive to Amazon.in, you can now purchase it via Flipkart as well. This handset is still very powerful, and a very solid offering. The OnePlus Two is expected to arrive in the third quarter this year though, so keep that in mind.

I’ve always been interested in technology but when I got my first Android phone years ago I was hooked. Mobile technology has been my first priority ever since. I’m currently using the LG G3 phablet, even though I’m prone to using Nexus devices, but I sold my Nexus 5 smartphone and the Nexus 6 is just too big (and pricey) for me. Other than technology I also enjoy football, movies and TV shows along with socializing with my friends and family.
