A number of Vivo-branded smartphones have surfaced lately, the Vivo X5Pro, Xshot3 and X5Max S. The X5 Pro and X5Max S has even been certified, while we don’t have that many details regarding the Xshot3 at the moment. That being said, Vivo has already announced that the X5Pro handset will land later today, 8PM local time (5AM PST). We’ve already seen the device’s design and know its specifications thanks to TENAA’s (China’s equivalent to the FCC) certification process. The device will be announced later today, but the additional two images have surfaced prior to launch.
If you take a look at the gallery down below you’ll notice two leaked real life images of Vivo X5Pro, which only confirm the design of this handset. The company has more or less confirmed that a retina scanner will be a part of this package. Anyhow, let’s check out this device’s specs, shall we. The Vivo X5Pro will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage storage. On the back of this device you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel camera, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be located up front. This device will be powered by an unnamed 64-bit processor clocked at 1.7GHz, we’re probably looking at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip here. As far as software goes, Android 5.0 Lollipop will ship out of the box here with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.1 on top of it. The 4,150mAh battery was also mentioned lately, but that might not be all that accurate. The Vivo X5Max S is also said to sport such a battery, and that makes more sense. The X5Pro might ship with a smaller battery unit on the inside, we’ll see.
As you can see, the design of this device isn’t all that special really, but it does the trick. There are three capacitive buttons below the display (menu, home and back, respectively) and the device will be available in White color variant. It is possible that Vivo intends to offer more color options, but only the white model has been repeatedly showing its face. There you have it, the launch will take place later today, stay tuned.

I’ve always been interested in technology but when I got my first Android phone years ago I was hooked. Mobile technology has been my first priority ever since. I’m currently using the LG G3 phablet, even though I’m prone to using Nexus devices, but I sold my Nexus 5 smartphone and the Nexus 6 is just too big (and pricey) for me. Other than technology I also enjoy football, movies and TV shows along with socializing with my friends and family.
