We haven’t heard much from Meizu up until a month ago, and then a ton of new rumors, leaks and official announcements followed. Both Alibaba and MediaTek have invested in this China-based smartphone OEM, Meizu has entered the Indian market by launching their M1 Note handset, and the company has also announced that they’ll hold an event on June 2nd in Beijing. What will they announce there? Well, according to a number of rumors, Meizu is getting ready to announce the M2 Note handset, or Blue Charm Note 2, as it’s called in China. The company’s Vice President, Li Nan, has already confirmed that a new ‘Note’ handset is going to be announced at the event, and he has also said that it will sport a physical home button, but not a fingerprint scanner. We’ve also seen a couple of leaks of the device itself.
That being said, we have some new info regarding that handset. According to a new report from China, the M2 Note (or whatever the company decides to call this thing) will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM and will arrive in 16 and 32GB variants. MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel this device, the 13-megapixel camera will be located on the back of the handset (LED flash included), and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available on the front side of this device. The 4G LTE connectivity will allegedly also be a part of the package, and the device will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed with Meizu’s Flyme OS on top of Google’s OS.
If this leak is true, the M2 Note will very much resemble its predecessor. The main difference between the two devices will be the physical home button and the Android version that comes pre-installed on them. The M1 Note also sports a 13-megapixel camera, a 5.5-inch 1080p display and comes in 16 and 32GB variants. According to previous leaks, the M2 Note will sport a colorful plastic back cover which will wrap around the edges of the device, which is also similar to the M1 Note’s design. Either way, the announcement is taking place June 2nd, stay tuned.

I’ve always been interested in technology but when I got my first Android phone years ago I was hooked. Mobile technology has been my first priority ever since. I’m currently using the LG G3 phablet, even though I’m prone to using Nexus devices, but I sold my Nexus 5 smartphone and the Nexus 6 is just too big (and pricey) for me. Other than technology I also enjoy football, movies and TV shows along with socializing with my friends and family.
