There are many, many smartphone OEM currently active in China. This Asia country is, after all, the largest smartphone market in the world. That being said, every once in a while we get to see a ‘new’ smartphone OEM trying to make a difference and make a name for itself out in the market. Innos is definitely not a top-tier China-based OEM, not even close, but this company has just released a handset which is worth talking about, you’ll find out why in a second.
Smartphones are becoming more powerful by the day, but we cannot say the same thing about their batteries. OEMs have introduced various ways to quickly charge your battery, but the batteries themselves haven’t exactly improved. Not many manufacturers actually implement huge batteries in their devices, but that’s not the case here. Innos D6000 is the company’s new smartphone which ships with a 6,000mAh battery on the inside, but it’s not what you think. Let me explain, the company has used the so-called ‘double cell structure’ technology here, which means that the phone ships with two batteries, the 2,480mAh internal battery, and the user replaceable 3,520mAh battery on the side. You might wonder why is this so different than other replaceable batteries? Well, you can replace this battery without having to turn off your handset! The company says that these two batteries will actually let you intensively use your phone between 3 and 5 days. Innos has also implemented the DuoCharge technology which lets you charge up both batteries at the same time.
This handset also ships with rather solid specs on the inside. The Innos D6000 features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) JDI display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz powers this handset along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This is a dual-SIM handset which offers 4G LTE connectivity (20 different bands). The 16-megapixel camera (OmniVision’s sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 85-degree wide-viewing angle) is located on the back of the Innos D6000, while there’s a 5-megapixel shooter available on the front side of the device. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed here, while the device measures 144 x 72.2 x 11.9 and packs in a Type-C USB connection.
The handset will go on sale in June, and it is priced at 1,799 Yuan ($ 290). Keep in mind that the company will also release a second model of this handset which will be powered by MediaTek’s SoC and pack in ‘only’ 2GB of RAM. This handset will cost less than 1,000 Yuan ($ 161).

I’ve always been interested in technology but when I got my first Android phone years ago I was hooked. Mobile technology has been my first priority ever since. I’m currently using the LG G3 phablet, even though I’m prone to using Nexus devices, but I sold my Nexus 5 smartphone and the Nexus 6 is just too big (and pricey) for me. Other than technology I also enjoy football, movies and TV shows along with socializing with my friends and family.
